Based on the latest trend scouted out by product develop manager, COOMEX’s design team scans the trend and put all the articles together on computer for our customer’s vision evaluation.

Mass production feasibility valution

The drawing from design studio will be transferred to technical department of bedding where the drawing will be inspected and evaluated. The engineers will study the feasibility of construction, fabric ,accessories, cutting, stitching, embroidery, printing, jacquard, dying ,  and sublimation etc. to assure the design was workable and reasonable for mass production on technical aspect.

“One bedding set normally need to be worked out by 10-15 individual factories , so team work is required for all the parties involved “ , Said John Liu “ frankly speaking, It is not easy job to assure each part is correct and just in time, Our team is consisting of great people with diverse background , they are textile engineers, designers, merchandisers , production manager and quality expert, so our supply chain management system make all this happened”

Total quality assurance

“ We are not just quality inspection (QI) , we are quality assurance (QA) “ Ada Zhou said , she is the QA manager . The QA system called total quality management (TQM) , it consist of 4 steps , i.e. Documentary control , Sample control , Flow control during production & Quality Feed Back & Improvement system . “ Our goal is no surprise to consumer when they open the package , It is just what they want “ Ada emphasized.  2sets of samples were send to SGS Shanghai for Lab test including : Color fastness ; Print Durability; Wash test for dimensional stability, tensile strength, seam slippage/strength & Chemical analysis etc.  

On the way - small world 

“ Cartons are normally required to loaded in container at the factory site and the container was sealed by our QC after loaded “ said Bob Xie , the chief quality inspector , “ This will help to assure the cartons are well handled and in good condition , also the containers were required to be cleaned before loading since no plants seeds , animal furs or any other dirties are allowed by the custom in USA”

The container will be loaded to the seaport directly instead of Ningbo , even it is a little far from the factory site , but there are more lines from Shanghai to Long Beach every week and the freight for delivery at the warehouse in TN, USA is approx. 480 dollars cheaper. The container is to be delivered to door at TN, USA, In case by train in land transfer from LB , It will take 23days.  In case by one driver truck transfer in land , it will take only 16days approx.

80cartons for 5 color comforters will be sent by air from Qingdao to New York for up sell. The cartons are well packed on pallet and shrink film wrapped . After 6 days , the cartons are on the customer’s meeting table. “ That it is , small world “

Upsell & Improvement

“ It is excited moment to see our comforter and quit set on shelf when I visit JC-Penny’s mall or HSN’s TV show “ said Jackie Chen , the president of COOMEX group.  At the customer’s meeting room , The president and its merchandiser and product development team is listening and learning the advice and comment from customers’ team , on China side , another meeting is hold by the design team and product team to study how to improve the products and up sell.
